US President Donald Trump is taking strict action against Harvard University. Harvard University’s funding of $2.2 billion (about Rs 18 thousand crores) and government contracts worth $60 million have been stopped. The Joint Task Force has taken this action to Combat Anti-Semitism of the US Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Justice and General Services Administration. The decision has been taken due to the increasing hatred against Jews and the university’s failure to stop the demonstrations in support of Palestine. Calling it a violation of federal law, Trump said that a university where someone is discriminated against on racial or ethnic grounds does not have the right to receive government funding; Jewish students and professors are being discriminated against at Harvard University.
If seen the Trump administration took this step when Harvard refused to accept the demands of the government, in which it was said that the university should not become a medium of opposition to any caste or race; it was also said that the university administration should give the government control over the admission process, governance, and hiring process of faculty and other appointments so that the government has prior information about the personalities of those who are coming to the university for study, teaching and other work. Still, Harvard has rejected these demands, calling them illegal and unconstitutional.
On the other hand, Harvard President Alan Garber wrote a letter to the students and faculty, saying, ‘The university will not bow down to the government and will not compromise on its freedom and constitutional rights. No government or any party in power can decide what will be taught in a private university and what will not, who will be given admission and job, and who will not. Along with this, in which subjects it will be right to study or do research. Now, on the basis of logic, many people may find the idea of Harvard President Alan Garber and the decision of the university to be correct, but should universities in any country be given so much freedom that they become a medium of anarchy? Even if it becomes the reason for change of power in the negative sense and destruction of the basic culture of the country as well as other countries, then also no action should be taken against it because it is a centre of education? In fact, after Harvard’s decision, the response from the US ‘Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism’ is worth understanding today, in which it was said that ‘Harvard’s statement reflects a worrying mindset prevalent in the best universities and colleges of our country. It shows that they want to get government funding, but do not want to take the responsibility of following the laws. In the last few years, there have been disruptions in studies in many campuses, which we do not accept. Harassment of Jewish students cannot be tolerated. Now the time has come that these top universities should take this problem seriously and be ready to bring concrete changes if they want to continue to get funding from taxpayers.’
President Donald Trump argues that accountability should be ensured for big universities like Harvard, which receive billions of dollars of funding. If Harvard does not follow their policies, then why should it get government aid? What American President Trump and his government are saying here is not unreasonable. Because Harvard supports or opposes certain ideologies! Especially in support of Hamas and against Israel. The protests that took place in this university were directly in support of Palestine and against Tel Aviv. Hateful words like ‘Gas the Jews’ were heard in many places. Then, many Jewish students went to the university administration to complain that they were being intimidated, but no one listened to them.
Cutting the stomachs of pregnant women in front of their parents, cutting the breasts of women, raping them to such an extent that even those who died were not spared. Who started putting children in hot oil, killing them after torturing them, rape, violence, indiscriminate firing? Who took the Israelis hostage? Who started the war? Today, everyone knows how Hamas and Palestine provoked Israel to retaliate. In fact, as a sovereign country, Israel is doing what a country should do in the interest of its citizens. But at this Harvard University, a narrative is being created in support of the criminals of Hamas-Palestine.
The problem with Harvard University is not just that Jewish students are being treated badly there. It has been revealed many times that most of the people associated with the university administration, teachers, and even many students suffer from Hindu phobia. Malcolm Gladwell, the bestselling author of one of the most important non-fiction books of the 21st century, The Tipping Point, has even talked about the “bias against wealthy white students” of Harvard admissions officers in his book. He writes – “I suspect it is unconscious for many, but there must be a point when (Harvard admissions tutors) are confronted with the fact that they have gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure that their campus is not dominated by Asians and Indians.” Gladwell says meritocracy is one of the most beautiful inventions of the 20th century – it is the foundation of a free society. However, I don’t see this in the Harvard admission system and selection. He wrote on Harvard and anti-India bias, ‘Harvard University is one of the few universities in the world that systematically discriminates against Hindu students and promotes anti-India narratives.’ If everything was fine here, why would this issue occur again? In the year 2014-15, four Indian-American organisations and other Asian groups stated in their 64 complaints, based on facts, that Harvard University is showing a biased attitude towards students in its admission process. Even then, it was said, “A white child should not get preference at the cost of Asians and the general quota should be completely based on merit.” Rajiv Malhotra and Vijaya Vishwanathan’s book, Snakes in the Ganges, states, based on facts, that the East India Company has returned to a new avatar. Harvard University is shown to have replaced Oxford in this new attempt to re-colonise India. In the days of the British Raj, discussions about India were controlled by Oxford University; now, they are happening in the US, where Harvard has taken over the re-colonisation project.
The book ‘Snakes in the Ganga: Breaking India 2.0’ exposes the vast ecosystem and funding network created by Harvard. What is dramatically new about this syndrome is that many big Indian billionaire industrialists are caught in the trap of Harvard intellectualism and are funding it. They are giving grants and money to destroy India’s infrastructure.
The book Snakes in the Ganga: Breaking India 2.0 also reveals that Harvard systematically selects students who are inimical to the Hindu knowledge tradition. These students and scholars are returned to India and deployed in an ecosystem. Thus, Harvard is engaged in creating a new anti-Hindu mechanism in India. Harvard uses Indian scholars, money and resources to train its army of new soldier scholars who are hatching all kinds of new conspiracies to break India on an unprecedented scale.
It should be noted here that Marxism has been reborn in American academia as Critical Race Theory (CRT)! Most people know that Critical Race Theory aims to combat American racism using race warfare. However, Harvard scholars have mapped it onto Indian society, ancient history, and the modern nation-state. It has been applied to India carelessly. In this, caste is equated with race. Critical Race Theory has been transformed into wokeism at Harvard. Any inequality in any field is attributed to structural racism and then institutionalised, so the foundations of these institutions need to be dismantled. Thus, according to them, Hinduism itself needs to be abolished. CRT uses caste for group identity while ignoring the individual. This translates into caste in the Indian context. The proposed solution is to abolish existing structures and institutions. In the case of India, this leads to a global call to abolish Hinduism and all structures and institutions based on it. It is worth mentioning that today, Harvard is researching to transform CRT into Critical Caste Theory and apply it to India.
It must be said here that Hinduphobia prevails at Harvard to such an extent that groups claiming grievances (such as Muslims and LGBTQ+) are artificially lumped together. Popularly known as the woke movement, its mission is to destroy Indian civilisation and heritage by waging an uncompromising war against India’s government, academic institutions, culture, industry and society. Indian corporates are bringing the latest Western standards of environmental, social and governance ratings into their workplace. This is aligned with the global social justice movement. An ecosystem of ideologies, institutions and young leaders is emerging to re-colonise India. It is natural to question whether India is for sale in such a situation. But this is happening continuously and daily through Harvard in the name of Hinduphobia. In fact, ‘Snakes in the Ganges: Breaking India 2.0’ has exposed Harvard’s blatant Hinduphobia by carefully cataloguing the university’s antics.
It must be said that it has been pointed out to the Trump administration that the admissions given in the university do not follow the merit-based system. The ‘woke’ culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs here are constantly increasing discrimination among students and breaking the trust among each other. Harvard is also accused that its DEI program has strengthened ‘reverse discrimination’, especially against non-Jews, Hindus and non-minority groups. Therefore, the Trump administration has demanded that Harvard end these programs, and Harvard has been asked to adopt a merit-based recruitment and admission system.
All should welcome the decision taken by American President Donald Trump regarding Harvard today, and no attempt should be made to put him in the dock in the name of attacking originality in the world of education. This step is necessary for President Trump to achieve equality at the level of knowledge. At the same time, to preserve the diversity of countries like India, their ancient culture with its originality, aund to not let unnecessary questions be raised on it, it is also necessary to curb the current racial efforts of Harvard.
Harvard is not just anti-Semitic but also anti-India and has Hindu phobia, I no longer care about the merit; Trump is correcting it.
